Comfortable Liar!

Liar

One thing, I find very common among all the primates of our kind, is that we are all born natural liars. Lying is an integral part of our day to day to life. Be it office, homes or just to the God, we often lie a lot. But some people are very special. Unlike majority of us who shriek and stammer while lying, they lie very comfortably. I call them Comfortable Liars. Beware of them because they are the masters of the art of Lying. They can be spotted at Coffee Homes, parks, street corners and every good place on earth. Following lines are dedicated to those ‘chosen few’. In your Honour:

Broad, is this sea
The salt, enters the wounds
My take, on you is simple
So heal, your fear
To heal, your fear
Time, spent wading off shore
The calm, before the storm
My take, from you is simple
So heal, your fear
To heal, your fear
You’re such a comfortable liar
So calm
Cause I said wrong
You comfortable liar

Seether

Seether plays a style of heavy metal mostly associated with the post-grunge era of alternative music, complete with self-obsessed lyrics and a sound that mixes crunchy distortion with brooding texture. Hailing from
South Africa, the group was discovered by Wind Up Records and instantly pushed to the moon by the label. They landed a spot on the popular Ozzfest tour and managed to release an EP while biding their time for the unveiling of their full-length debut in the summer of 2002. Issued that August, Disclaimer was an immediate hit, boasting a solid single in “Fine Again.” Seether spent much of the following year on the road, where singer Shaun Morgan’s relationship with Evanescence siren Amy Lee blossomed. But while the tour time ensured top-of-mind status for Seether, it also delayed their return to the studio.
Their proper sophomore effort, Karma and Effect, was released in May 2005 and hit the Top Ten. One Cold Night followed in 2006.

Snow Patrol

I heard this band recently. And I must say I’m touched. Its overwhelming! here is what one oughtaa know about Snow Patrol

Featuring a dynamic fusion of several alternative stylistic touchstones Snow Patrol’s compositions combine songwriting aptitude with guitar rock’s sharpest strains. Originally from
Northern Ireland, Gary Lightbody (vocals, guitar) and Mark McClelland (bass, keyboards) first got together in
Dundee University, Scotland, where they were studying, and prior to the addition of Jonny Quinn (drums), who completed the lineup. Signed to the
U.K.’s Jeepster label in 1998, they released their debut album, Songs for Polar Bears, in August of that same year. The record was a large success across the
U.K., where they also gained a large fan base for their live show. The British trio graduated soon after, and decided to move from
Dundee to
Glasgow in late 2000. Their second full-length, When It’s All Over We Still Have to Clear Up, was released in April 2001. Quickly thereafter, guitarist Nathan Connolly was added to the group, and Snow Patrol found themselves a deal with Polydor. With the success of singles such as “Chocolate,” “Run,” and “Spitting Games,” Final Straw sold two million copies in their native
U.K. It also became the 26th most popular British album of that year. In March 2005, founding member Mark McClelland left the band to pursue other avenues, leaving Snow Patrol a trio with Lightbody, Quinn, and Connolly. Shortly thereafter, former Terra Diablo bass player Paul Wilson and touring keyboardist Tom Simpson were permanently added to the band. An opening slot on U2’s Vertigo Tour of Europe followed in summer 2005. Snow Patrol’s fourth album, the epic Eyes Open arrived in May 2006.

Music for the ears-1

Music is a a great healer. It works perfectly like a true chicken soup for the soul. One of the bands of my choice which are on my must listen list is Pearl Jam.

Pearl Jam is an American rock band formed in Seattle, Washington and considered one of the most popular and influential artists of the 1990s. Their name is intimately tied to the rock scene of the early 1990s, and they are considered one of the “Big Four” of the grunge movement alongside Nirvana,
Alice in Chains and Soundgarden. Pearl Jam is one of the few bands that led the breakthrough of alternative rock in the early 1990s still active today.

One of their compositions, which is real good is ‘last kiss’. It goes like this:

Oh where, oh where can my baby be?
The Lord took her away from me.
She's gone to heaven so I've got to be good,
So I can see my baby when I leave this world.
we were out on a date in my daddy's car,
We hadn't driven very far.
There in the road, straight ahead,
A car was stalled, the engine was dead.
I couldn't stop, so I swerved to the right,
I'll never forget the sound that night.
The screamin' tires, the bustin' glass,
The painful scream that I heard last.
Oh where, oh where can my baby be?
The Lord took her away from me.
She's gone to heaven so I've got to be good,
So I can see my baby when I leave this world.
When I woke up the rain was pourin' down,
There were people standing all around.
Something warm flowing through my eyes,
But somehow I found my baby that night.
I lifted her head she looked at me and said,
"Hold me darlin' just a little while"
I held her close I kissed her our last kiss,
I found the love that I knew I had missed.
Well now she's gone, even though I hold her tight,
I lost my love, my life that night.
Oh where, oh where can my baby be?
The Lord took her away from me.
She's gone to heaven so I've got to be good,
So I can see my baby when I leave this world.
